If you submit the duly filled account closure form to your home branch, then it will take 2 working days for account closure. For Non-Home branch, it may take 10 working days for closure.
You can withdraw the remaining account balance via Cash or Manager’s Cheque/DD or Credit to any other HDFC Bank Account.
Please note that if your account balance is more than 20,000 Rs, then the payment will be made only by Manager’s cheque on your name.
Make sure to destroy the ATM Debit Card (cut the card into two halves & keep it with you to submit to branch) & the unused Cheque Book (to be submitted back to Branch at the time of closure).

Any other HDFC Services like Credit Cards, Loan Accounts, FD, Locker etc. need to be de-linked from the existing Closure Account. This all services can be re-linked to your another HDFC Account.
