Finance Guru Speaks: As per the Directives of Reserve Bank of India w.e.f. 12th September, 2015, Banks will remain closed on Second and Fourth Saturdays of every month.
However, First and Third Saturdays will be full working days (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
If a month has five Saturdays, the fifth one will be a working day.
Even though the bank branches shall remain closed, you can stay connected to your Bank through their Quick and Secure access to their other channels and wide range of banking Services 365*24*7.
Whether you need to draw/transfer money, request for a service, check your balance or open a fixed deposit, you can access ATMs, Internet Banking Facility, Mobile Banking Facility, Instant Money Transfer Facility and Banks Call-Centres which will remain open to assist you.
RTGS facility will be available up to 16:30 hrs. on working Saturdays.
The decision comes in the wake of an agreement reached between Apex Body of bank managements IBA and employee unions.
